Stand Guard Security Acquired by Sentry Security

August 26, 2013, Long Grove, IL — Ron Davis, President of Davis Mergers and Acquisition Group, has announced the acquisition and merger of Stand Guard Security, of Crystal Lake, IL. by Sentry Security of Wheeling, IL. The former President of Stand Guard is industry veteran, Mike Simon, and the President of the acquiring company, Sentry Security, is David Balestrery.

The acquisition was consummated August 15th by all parties. Employees of Stand Guard have all been offered an opportunity for full time employment with Sentry. Mr. Simon will assist in the transition of the merger/acquisition and will continue to operate his software development company, Connected Technologies, Inc., with his son, Dan.

Commenting on the sale of his company, Mike Simon had this to say: “Over the last five years we have had many offers to sell or merge our company with other security firms. David Balestrery of Sentry was the first potential buyer to offer us everything we were looking for. Of course, the purchase price was important, but perhaps of greater importance was the answer to the question of what would happen to our employees and how well will the needs to our customers would be met. After doing our own due diligence, we concluded that Sentry was absolutely the best fit for us!”

Ron Davis and Steve Rubin of Davis Mergers and Acquisitions assisted the seller, Stand Guard in the sale of their company.  It was the third transaction that they had completed with Sentry, and commenting on the transaction, Ron Davis had this to say:  “We knew we were representing a quality company. Previous experience told us that Balestrery’s company, Sentry, and David himself was a first class, quality buyer. Once again, they proved that to be true by handling the acquisition in a professional, helpful and optimistic manner.”
