DMG announces new seminars, “The Anatomy of a Sale of a Business in the Alarm Industry”

to the industry’s educational professionalism, Davis Marketing Group Managing Partner, Ron Davis and Partner Katie Bally will start a series of seminars being made available to state and regional associations. The focus of the program will be “The Anatomy of the Sale of a Business in the Alarm Industry.” Davis and Bally share a unique perspective, as Davis was the principal of DMG that handled Don and Katie Bally’s sale of their business two years ago.
At the time, the sale of North Shore Security was considered to be highly successful and created one the highest multiples paid for an alarm company in the last five years. Katie then went on to join Davis Marketing Group to help other dealers understand the process of selling a company.
It is estimated that roughly one-third of the alarm dealers in business in North America are either contemplating selling their business or are interested in developing an exit strategy. Another one-third are interested in acquiring companies. This seminar discusses how to go about preparing a company for sale, and — if attendees are looking to do acquisitions — what to look for in a company that may be for sale.
