The Hamilton Companies of Winter Haven, FL acquired by Alarm Funding

Long Grove, IL June 9, 2008 — In a move that consistently reinforces the viability of the Florida market, Alarm Funding Associates of Exton, Pennsylvania has acquired the accounts of The Hamilton Companies, which includes The Hamilton Companies of Winter Haven, Sentry Security of Sanibel and A.R. Alarms of Ft. Myers/Naples.

The UL Listed central station operated by The Hamilton Companies will continue in place for the time being, and plans have already been finalized to add to the management team of the company.

The principals of the three selling companies, Andy Richards and Dick Aldrich plan on retiring to pursue other business activities, not related to the alarm industry.

While the terms and price for the acquisition were not disclosed, the companies had a significant market position in central and southwestern Florida.  Hamilton has been in business since 1968.

In commenting on the sale of the companies, one of the principals, Dick Aldrich, had this to say: “Both Andy and I have reached the stage where we would like to stay closer to home and reduce the amount of traveling (both commuted from their homes in southwestern Florida to Winter Haven).  Alarm Funding Associates made us a great offer”.
