Ohio Electronic Protection acquired by Koorsen Fire and Security

Long Grove, IL, February 21, 2009 — Ohio Electronic Protection, based in Columbus, Ohio was acquired by Koorsen Fire and Security of Indianapolis, IN.  Curt Wellington, OEP president, will remain with the company, as will most of OEP’s 13 employees. They will be moved to Koorsen’s existing Columbus office.

Curt built OEP into a company that is a great fit with Koorsen Fire and Security, who is looking to expand further in the four states where its offices are most concentrated — Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee.

Curt was interested in joining with a larger company that he could grow with and he saw that opportunity with Koorsen Fire and Security.

The seller, OEP, had engaged Davis Marketing Group, aka The Graybeards’, Bruce Amrine and Ron Davis to represent them in this transaction.
