Georgia Burglar Alarm acquired by A-Com Protection

Long Grove, IL, February 13, 2009 — Davis Marketing Group (AKA Graybeards) is pleased to announce the acquisition of Georgia Burglar Alarm (GBA) by A-Com Protection Services, Inc. (APS).   The principal office of GBA, who was represented by Davis Marketing Group (DMG) in the transaction, is located in Dublin, GA.

Wayne Beck, CEO of APS, said of the transaction, “We are immensely pleased to be able to now call these fine people our customers.  GBA has been a family-owned company since World War II, and we are very proud that the former owner decided to accept our offer to purchase her company.”

The accounts of GBA include a variety of long-standing, loyal customers, both commercial and high end residential, near Macon, GA.  The company was started by the father of Charles Lee, who passed away a little over two years ago.  Mr. Lee’s widow, Janet Lee Hudson, took over the company after his death, but became convinced that it would be in the best interests of GBA’s customers to be part of the APS organization.

APS, which is based in Columbus, GA, is a member of CSAA and well-respected in the security industry.  Mr. Beck added, “We are always looking for exciting acquisitions like this one, and welcome the opportunity to work again with DMG to help us to grow our company.”
